CHILDREN / YOUTH
Our Sunday school program meets in the Education Building, following the Message for Children, for children and students ages 3 through 6th grade. For more information, please see Debbie Grob or Marian Latz.
The Church also provides a Nursery service for infants and children through age 5 during the Worship Service. It is located through the left door off the coffee room
MAKE A JOYFUL HARMONY by adding your vocal talent to our choir. All are welcome. Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 7:00pm and Sunday mornings at 9:30am in the church.
We also offer a Contemporary Music Group that performs monthly during Sunday Service.
Our Junior Choir, for elementary school age children also performs periodically in church. Please see Sanae Miyazaki for more information.
ACTIVITIES \ EVENTS
CLOTHING CLOSET WINTER BAG SALE – Saturday, December 2nd, 9:30am - 12:30pm. Select from a wide variety of Men's, Women's, Children's and Baby items for just $5 per bag. Get a free coat or jacket with each bag you buy.
PAGEANT REHEARSALS – will be held on Saturday, December 2nd and 9th, at 10:30am.
CHRISTMAS CONCERT – Saturday, December 2nd, 3:00-4:30 pm at the Ramapo Reformed Church. Concert will feature Sanae Miyazaki, M.M., on the Odell Pipe Organ, piano and vocal soloists, singing of carols & the Hallelujah Chorus. Light refreshments following the concert. COMMUNION – We will celebrate the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper on Sunday, December 3rd.
CONGREGATIONAL MEETING – There will be a brief congregational meeting following worship this Sunday, December 3rd for the purpose of electing elders and deacons to our 2018 Consistory.
TRIM THE TREE – Join us on Sunday, December 3rd, following the Congregational Meeting, to help adorn our sanctuary tree with ornaments for the Advent and Christmas season.
CHOIR – Wednesdays, December 6th, 13th, and 20th at 7:00pm. There will be no choir on Wednesday, December 27th.
GUY’S BREAKFAST OUT – Our next gathering is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th. Meet at the Ramsey IHOP at 8:00am for a time of fellowship and good food.
CHRISTMAS PAGEANT – The Very Best Gift Of All Christmas pageant and Fellowship Supper are coming up next Sunday, December 10th, at 4:00pm. Please sign-up on the bulletin board for the pot luck supper, and/or for more information, please see Marian Latz, or Debbie Grob.
POINSETTIAS – If you would like to help decorate the church sanctuary for Christmas by ordering poinsettias to honor or commemorate loves ones, please use the form found in the bulletin or you can print a copy using this link. Flowers are $7 apiece (4-6 blooms each). You are welcome to take any plants you have ordered with you following the last Christmas Eve service. Please place your order by Monday, December 11th.
CONSISTORY – will meet on Monday, December 11th at 7:00pm. ELDERS MEETING at 6:00pm on the 11th.
SOUP FOR YOU – Our homemade soup fundraising activity continues. Please see the order form insert in the bulletin or use this link to print an order form. Orders are due by December 14th for pick-up on the 22nd.
STAR WARS MOVIE NIGHT – Friday, December 15th, "The Last Jedi" at the Lafayette Theater in Suffern at 8:00pm. We will me meeting at church at 7:00pm. Tickets are $10. Please sign up on the bulletin board to express interest and to order advanced tickets.
MISSION –The mission for December is Solid Foundation Skate Park, helping kids in Paterson. Steve Wolf will be visiting us on Mission Sunday, December 17th, to speak about the program.
COOKIE EXCHANGE – For coffee hour on December 17th, we thought it would be nice to multiply the Christmas holiday by bringing in some holiday cookies to enjoy and to share. No need to sign up, just bring in some of your favorite cookies, and if there are leftovers, we can take some home!
CAROLING – We are also planning on going Christmas caroling on Sunday, December 17th, as we sing for our friends at Norfolk Village and the Woodlands in Ramsey. Meet at church at 12:45pm or at Norfolk Village at 1:00pm as we have fun and help share the wonder of the season.
OPEN HOUSE – Please join us for some good food and fellowship at the manse, on Sunday, December 17th, from 4: 00 to 6:00pm as well. Stop by for a few minutes to say ‘hello’ or stay for a while. See Pastor Bill or Debbie for details.
CHRISTMAS EVE SERVICES – Please join us for one of our Christmas Eve services on December 24th at 7:00pm and 11:00pm.
WREATHS – There are a few extra items available from ordering case lots. Please see the bulletin board to reserve one for the holiday season.
LIVE GENEROUSLY – Thank you to all who pledged on Consecration Sunday. To date, we have received 26 pledges totaling $74,832! If you would like to make a pledge for 2018, there are cards available in the pews.
CLOTHING CLOSET – Will be open each Wednesday in December, from 9:30am-12:00pm, to accept seasonal items.
ONLINE GIVING - We are pleased to announce a convenient new way to make your regular offerings. With our new electronic giving program, you can easily set up a recurring giving schedule or make one-time contributions. At NO COST to you! We encourage you to set up a schedule of recurring contributions. It’s convenient for you and provides much needed consistency for our church. If you are currently giving on a weekly basis, you will no longer need to write out 52 checks a year or prepare 52 envelopes. Even when travel, illness or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, our church will continue to receive your contributions on an uninterrupted basis. To become an electronic giver, contact Roger Knauss or call the church office.
The CENTER FOR FOOD ACTION can always use your help! If you can donate canned or packaged goods, please do so in the boxes located in the foyer and the coffee room.

RECYCLE: We have started an Inkjet cartridge recycling program that will benefit the church. If you have used inkjet cartridges to donate, please drop them in the box in the coffee room.
COFFEE HOUR: If you would like to host a time of fellowship following worship, please sign up on the board leading into the coffee room.
